Nothing makes me happier than a new book from my friend and fabulous baker, Sarah Kieffer. You all know her from her gorgeous Instagram account and her runaway success of a cookie book, 100 Cookies. Now she’s brought us 100 Morning Treats! I have had the great pleasure of getting an advanced copy and baked these seriously delicious Cruffins. They are part muffin (the shape) and mostly croissant (the flakey, buttery, crusty goodness), baked into the breakfast of my dreams. Truth be told, I like morning pastries all day long, so I would happily serve these at brunch, lunch, or dinner too.
Sarah’s books are full of beautiful photos to inspire and they also show great details on how to create the recipes that may otherwise seem out of reach for a beginning baker. Anyone can make this easy croissant dough and form them into cruffins with Sarah’s guidance. And once you try it, this recipe will become a staple in your kitchen.
