It’s November, which means fall is in full swing but waning fast. Below you’ll find some of my latest recipes, featuring a distinctive autumn vibe. These are wonderful simple recipes to make as you gear up for the primetime baking that is Thanksgiving and the holiday season.
If you’ve recently made one of my recipes, I would be so grateful if you’d head to zoebakes.com to leave a rating and review and let me know if you made any substitutions that worked well! This helps others find the recipes and enjoy them as well. Thank you!
Homemade Granola
This homemade granola is straight out of my childhood. It’s based on my aunt’s recipe and baking it instantly transported me back to my early days in Vermont. This is a classic version featuring oats, seeds, and nuts, with a nice hint of honey and maple syrup for sweetness. I love this as a snack, and it’s perfect with homemade yogurt.
Pear Pie with Caramel
Some of my favorite recipes are ones that are simple but elegant. Pears create such a beautiful visual in dessert, and this easy pear pie is no exception. The fall season is one that just needs a few delicious pear treats, and the caramel is such a perfect fall and winter compliment to one of my favorite cool-weather fruits.
My Most Popular Recipe in October
I can’t say I was surprised to see that my most popular recipe last month featured pumpkin. Some of my apple favorites were close, but as the days get colder and the leaves start falling, folks are just in the pumpkin mood. This chocolate pumpkin swirl bundt cake is a must-have fall treat. Bundt cakes are easy to make and look beautiful at a fall gathering, plus your guests will be in awe of the striking (and tasty) swirled pumpkin and chocolate inside.

Fall and winter is the best time of year to binge shows, and seasons 1 & 2 of Zoë Bakes are available to stream. You can find them on Discovery+ or on the Magnolia Network | Time Well Spent app. It’s a great time to catch up on episodes you may have missed, or watch the show for the first time. It’s never too early to start thinking about holiday shopping. You can find all my original products in my shop, which is a total family affair. You’ll also find signed copies of Zoë Bakes Cakes, and all the books in my Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day series.
I made the baked Alaska and my guest thought I had gone to an expensive culinary school. I bake her bread weekly and it is fabulous. I send to Bakersfield for the flour. Zoe is the best! I live watching the ZMagnolia network and am so happy when Zoe is on. I just started watching the list kitchen. At 75 this old gal is learning new tricks! 🙂❤️ Thank you! Kathleen Alexander
I made the pumpkin bundt cake and was so so delicious! Gave a slice to our neighbor who had an outer body experience eating it and demanded the recipe :)
