About Zoë François

I studied art at the University of Vermont while also founding a cookie company as a way to earn extra money. I then traveled throughout Europe, tasting pastries along the way, and later studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Since then I have been a pastry chef at several Twin Cities restaurants and have worked repeatedly with Andrew Zimmern. Together with Jeff Hertzberg, I wrote the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day, which turned into a bestselling series. I created my website, zoebakes.com, in order to share my passion for pastry. I live in Minneapolis with my husband, Graham, and two sons, our best creations yet!

I love to bake. Zoebakes.com is where I play with sugar and take the mystery out of baking. I studied pastry at the CIA, worked in restaurants, write cookbooks, and have a TV show, Zoë Bakes, on HBO Max.
