Don’t forget this month’s Zoë’s Baking Academy Cookie Challenge! Details at the end of this newsletter!
I spent the last week on a book tour for Zoë Bakes Cookies and was met with so much love and joy! You really are the greatest community, ever! Huge thank you to everyone who ordered the cookie book, hosted me on my tour (Rizzoli Book Store in NY with Matt Rodbard, Now Serving in LA with Ellen Marie Bennett, Omnivore Books in San Francisco with Liz Prueitt, Book Larder in Seattle with Aran Goyoaga, and Guittard Chocolate with Sherry Yard in LA, made fun videos with me Jessie Sheehan, came to the book signings, gave me a hug, and celebrated this crazy journey of writing a cookie book in all the ways! I made new friends and met up with old ones! It was perfect! xo
I’ll be adding more book tour stops, so stay tuned!
Zoë Bakes Cookies is on the New York Times Best Sellers List in its first week of life. Pinch me!!! I may never stop dancing! It is 100% because of YOU and I am just overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you!
My book also made Eater’s Top 16 Best Cookbooks of Fall and Amazon’s Editors’ Picks for September!
So many of you have already made recipes from the book. Tell me in the comments: what’s been your favorite recipe so far?!
What To Bake This Weekend
Get a sneak peek into Zoë Bakes Cookies with these Smash Cookies. They are big, chewy, chocolatey goodness. I discussed this recipe with my friend, Jessie Sheehan, on the She’s My Cherry Pie podcast from Cherry Bombe! (And you can watch us making them on the recipe page!)
If the calendar flipping to September has you thinking about apples, try my deceptively simple and delicious Apple Tarte Tatin. Or choose one of my 19 favorite apple desserts.
Get your fix of the other fall flavor with my easy Pumpkin Bread. It’s perfect for brunch or an afternoon snack.
As always, if you’ve recently made one of my recipes, please leave a rating/review on the recipe to let me know how it went! I love hearing how you’ve made the recipes work for you.

I was so excited to finally receive my book this week! I love all the tips and your family's story.
I finally conquered macarons! I could be more excited and can't wait to make lots of flavors now that I have the shell right. Wishing you continued success and hopefully another tv show, you are missed.
Congratulations, Zoe! I've followed you for years and you've helped me understand all the ins and outs of baking as I made my way to writing my own grain-free recipes based on many of the classics you cover. Even the little stuff, like making my own vanilla extract, inspired me. Best wishes, Erica
