Holiday Party With Andrew Zimmern
I filmed a wonderful holiday special with my friend Andrew Zimmern for Magnolia Network. We hosted a dinner party for a group of friends and had a blast cooking together and sharing in some holiday cheer. It airs on Magnolia Network this Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. EST / 1 p.m. central, and you can stream it any time after that date on Max or Discovery+!
Perfect Whipped Cream
Low and slow is the secret to this perfect whipped cream. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to make, and it’s a versatile recipe for every home baker that once you have down can be used again and again.
Lefse
Lefse is a Norwegian holiday flatbread that everyone should try this time of year! As is customary, I learned this recipe from some wonderful ladies at a local Lutheran church using a simple recipe that has been passed down through generations.
Most Popular Recipe In November
What’s better than pumpkin and cheesecake together? This Basque Cheesecake with Roasted Pumpkin was the most popular recipe on my site in November. And why not? The fall flavors are wonderful, and the Basque-style cheesecake has an amazing mahogany top with a rich custardy interior that makes for one of my all-time favorite desserts.

I would like to make some suggestions for future cookbooks and shows, but I will just write about one issue. Made the “purple” sweet potato pie for thanksgiving. Silly trying to make the meringue after clearing the table of turkey, etc. Too much stress. It would have been fine if I had made it a couple of hours before company came. Delicious but missing the specifics of how long the meringue will last. And could use some notes on what to do if it doesn’t hold a shape. Maybe because I have been watching the second season of Julia (it’s witty, poignant and aspirational). Your cakes are delicious but scanty instructions. The bread book is making me crazy.
