The immigrant-owned restaurant point really stood out to me. Those places don't just feed us, they create cultural bridges and make comunities more vibrant. I've watched similar businesses in my area dissappear when they didn't get support in time. Really hope this fund can help keep these essential spots alive during the tough weeks ahead.
During that time the federal government was offering aid to the businesses most impacted. This time the federal government is actually causing the demise of these businesses.
No. The Feds are enforcing federal laws. The citizens are rejecting federal law. And the demise this time is not due to the fraud people got for the paycheck program under covid but by the timidity of urban Mpls citizens not daring to venture out PLUS the probably high number of illegal immigrants they employ. You reap what you sow, shocked none of you guys are angered by the tax bucks stolen by the Somalis. And you still ducked the question I asked: to be more direct, Walz ordered all these establishments shuttered and even had a snitch line over a flu that had .01 morbidity.

This is exactly right! Without this community we lose what is special and essential to our city! Restaurants do so much more than just feed people!
Why wasn't this done during covid in MN when so many lost their businesses? Serious question.

I hope you are able to locate your humanity.
Blaming our vibrant and beautiful immigrant community is not the answer to misplaced bias and hatred.
Will share!
Thank you!!! Minneapolis appreciates your support! xo

My son is a restaurant cook. It’s incredibly hard work, and yes, the majority of restaurant workers are immigrants. I couldn’t donate fast enough!
Thanks Zoe for working so hard for your community. Our hearts go out to you.
