This past spring I got to check off a bucket list trip. I’d dreamt about visiting Sicily since I was an art student in college and I finally made it happen. I partnered with the incredible women at Via Rosa and we created a culinary tour that surpassed all my wildest dreams. The trip didn’t stop there, we added a second tour in Puglia. I knew virtually nothing about that part of Italy and now I am madly in love with the region. I loved it so much that I’ve decided to continue exploring Italy with two more trips in 2026 and I want you to come with me!
I’ll be announcing them next week! All the details (where, when & what), plus signups will be sent to my “Extras” subscribers early next week, so if you’d like to explore Italy with me that’s where you’ll get the first opportunity! If you’re not yet an “Extras” subscriber, I’d love to have you join, see below. The trips are limited to 12 people each, so don’t hesitate to sign up. I can’t wait to travel, bake and eat with you!
What to Bake This Weekend

We’re entering peak strawberry season in Minnesota! This Strawberry Passion Fruit Cake is one of my favorite recipes for fresh berries. Or, try one of my other 19 strawberry desserts!
Or how about some red, white and blue desserts for Fourth of July? This Baked Alaska recipe is my favorite.
Take your summer s’mores game to the next level by using my homemade graham crackers and marshmallows recipes. Both are easy and fun to make!
I want to hear from you!
Help me shape the recipes I develop for you by answering these two quick questions. I look forward to learning from you!
A huge thank you to my friend David Lebovitz for sharing my Morning Cookies recipe on his Substack last week! Welcome new subscribers, I’m so glad you’re here.

Last week I had the honor of interviewing one of my culinary heroes, Rose Levy Beranbaum, and her husband, Woody, at an event to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of her book, The Cake Bible. Many of you joined us and I am so grateful you came out to support Rose and that I got a chance to meet you. The baking community is the best!
You can read more about Rose and the book here.
I like variety in your recipes.
I love your breads, cookies, and pie recipes and always have fun with a big spectacular project bake. (My family loves them too!)
