I’m so excited to check in with my friend, Jessie Sheehan. She is an unstoppable force who is known as the Queen of Easy Peasy Bakes (see below for her GENIUS hack for a delish frosting using marshmallows), she’s the host of the Cherry Bombe podcast, She’s My Cherry Pie, and the author of four incredible cookbooks, soon to be FIVE. Yay, I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
You may recall that Jessie came to Minnesota to be on my show and we explored the Minnesota State Fair together (season 3, episode 8 of Zoë Bakes). We had such a ball, which is exactly how Jessie rolls through life. Update from Jessie
The big news from me is that I just finished shooting my fifth cookbook, Cookie Time. The book will release in the fall of 2027 (cookbooks take a LONG time to come together) and it will be published by Ten Speed Press, Zoë’s publisher! I couldn’t be more excited. The book is organized by time - from the moment you read the recipe until the moment the cookie (or bar) comes out of the oven (or the refrigerator if we’re talking a no-bake situation). There are 75 recipes and they are divided into four parts: 30 minutes at most, 60 minutes at most, 90 minutes at most, and 2 hours or more. I cannot wait to share it with everyone.
In addition to working on my book, I continue to host Cherry Bombe’s baking podcast, She’s My Cherry Pie and, as always, I am having the best time doing so. It is such a treat and an honor to speak to so many iconic bakers about their signature bakes. Zoë’s been on twice! Once to chat pavlovas and once to chat about her smash cookies (yum). She and I even made a cute little video when we baked up a batch of her epic cookies together. And we made a video of the two of us whipping up a batch of my cheesiest biscotti!
